Ticket Prices for Dayton Game (at UC)

I assume most of you received the email about tickets to the Dayton game at the United Center. I was pretty interested in going... until I saw the ticket prices. It's $100+ to be in the main level. It's $40 just to get in the door and sit behind a basket in the second balcony. I know this includes two games, but I have no interest in sitting through the Illinois game (and assume their fans feel likewise about our game).

I'll probably pass unless I find cheaper tickets. I think the promoter putting on this game is misjudging the market with these prices.

You're still buying a ticket to two games, though, featuring two Big Ten teams and two higher-profile mid-majors. I don't think $25/game to sit in the upper deck at center court is that exorbitant, honestly.

Still, I'm sure Stubhub will have some significant discounts available as the date approaches.

It costs me less than $15 per game to sit in the 4th row at WRA. Now I'm spending $25 to sit in the second balcony and another $25 to watch a team I don't like? Plus parking. Not great.

We'll see what materializes on StubHub. This game isn't part of any school's season-ticket package, so there probably won't be a ton of people dumping tickets. Maybe there will be a Groupon.
