He has bankrupted and destroyed everything else he has run, so why not a country and its institutions?

There are worse people than Trump....his enablers and those who would vote for him.

Over all of our dead bodies. If this guy even tries something like this, every single patriotic American should march to the White House. Someone should show him pictures of how Mussolini ended up when the people got completely fed up with him.

How much longer until another Civil War is unavoidable? Not joking, for once.

Seriously, what is the flash point that breaks this wide open? Who or what initiates the hideous door to door ethnic cleansing ahead (the form that a second civil war would take?)

Did you see the Fox interview with DHS?

MARIA BARTIROMO (ANCHOR): Secretary, we were just going through the situation in Portland. I want to get to the other major cities of our country and the violence happening there, but why can't -- before we finish on Portland, why can't you just arrest the leadership in Portland because of their ignoring what's really happening on the ground?

Liberals, I know you hate guns. But buy guns. No more posts asking,”What will we do?” Figure out what YOU will do.

Even if we get through this, the best way to get scared rural whites to give up some of their guns is for them to be dramatically outnumbered. Then, everybody can ‘disarm.’ Seriously, buy guns.

Edit: By the way, I never thought I would write something like that. It is, under ordinary circumstances, tantamount to suggesting, “Hey, why not take up smoking?” But right wing hardliners need to be aware of what is ‘out there.’ In this case, I’m suggesting that visible strength would prevent violence.

And I’m not worried about Trump or Congress messing with the election. I’m worried about the guy who owns the feed store, the sheriff’s cousin and a guy who sells scrap auto parts outside of town, armed, blocking a polling place, taking their lead from some conspiracy theory. And Trump will only encourage them.

Geez, you guys fall for everything. I think its reasonable for him to postpone it until the election can happen safely, but only about 50% likely. Maybe less.
We have to figure out what is going on. i think an election appeal is more likely by Biden.

Thank goodness for that! Checks and balances, Mr. President.

Trump needs to go. He will lose the election and then complain that it was rigged. He can't accept that the majority of people in this country abhor and fear him. He needs to go. Evict him in January if necessary. Send in the troops to put him on a train back to Trump Tower.

I think the wheels are turning in Trump’s brain - something like the little rats on an exercise wheel. This makes me refer to an earlier post mulling over his exit strategy when faced with losing the election. Will he issue self-pardons for himself and his family? Will he declare a “national emergency” or declare martial law? Who knows what this rat will do when cornered and desperate and facing an end to power. It’s dangerous because he cares only for himself and retaining power.

For doing what? Your hate delutes your mind.
He doesnt appear to be losing but he most likely isnt going to leave, regardless. My guess is that he will pause everything until we can figure out what is going on. He has Barr and if RBG keels over, the scotus would not rule against.

It's 0% likely. Also why would Vice President Biden appeal an election that he won in a landslide?

We all know what's going on. Trump is a lying crook! Ah a POTUS can't nominate a Supreme Court Justice in the final year of his presidency. Just ask Mitch and the senate Republicans. Three and a half more months!!!

There will not be a final result anytime within the next 2 years. Not specifically talking about when voting starts. Many will start voting in September. We may have 2-4 years to wait for the concluding opinion. Yes, this vote will be 100% based on opinion. If RBG passes, it would not have any chance to rule against our president. That sorta opinion may not happen till next year.
There is too much at stake. Our country and individual rights or community marxism rule.

You think this is an act? If you cant see that a reasonable outcome of this election will involve the scotus then you are delusional. The sides couldnt be more polarized. The country will fall into chaos if Biden wins and I have a hunch that Putin will finish the job with the Ukraine if his opponent is wearing a diaper and sucking a pacifier. Biden is your guy!

You go around posting images telling people not to feed the trolls, and yet so many threads I open reveal you doing the same. Stop giving him oxygen. He's ****ing with you and you're allowing him under the idea that you're crusading where the moderators won't.

I like reading many of your posts, but we get it, you don't like Turk. Ignore him and his many alter egos like the rest of us. You'll be happier for it.

But you've made your point. We all get it. Do we need to keep reading it in every thread? Maybe he'll stop posting to goad you into doing it, and problem will be solved.

Trump just tweeted it could take weeks to resolve the balloting. Although you dont consider that the election may not conclude for weeks (Trump mentioned years), it is not only reasonable, but also likely not to get final results for weeks, then a 99% chance of a court challenge afterwards.
Changing voting methods and systems is going to be a cluster.
I dont blame the dems but both parties are trying to steal.

And another thing, gocatsgo, do you think Biden should accept results?
    He wont!
The republicans are doing a helluva job suppressing the vote. Toss in the fact that the democrats can screw up their voter base with mail in ballots.
Good luck with the usps and telling dem voters to vote by mail. Thousands of votes will be disqualified because of not being properly filled out, and maybe hundreds of thousands will miss the deadline. Never mind the usps is awful nowadays. Understaffed and damn near broke.

The day he overstays his constitutionally elected office by one minute, I’ll take this mother****er out myself. I’ve humored this asshole for 4 years because of my respect for the constitution and rule of law. 4 years plus 1 minute beyond his tenure means we all need to rise up and kill this tyrant mother****er ourselves.

    # Second amendment solution...

A minute after his tenure ends, the 2nd Amendment no longer applies to him.

Criminal law still does to you, though. Not guilty by reason of temporary insanity? Can there be premeditated temporary insanity?

So you would be ok with an unfair election or fraud or suppression of votes?
I think your understanding of the constitution is in serious error.
The constitution implies a fair election.
Given your expression, are you saying that Biden should just go away if the voter suppression cost him an election?

    Hi Turk,

    I hope you are well.

There is absolutely zero constitutional basis for “delaying an election” in the USA no matter the circumstances. Obviously a legally contested election based on a vote count (Ala Bush v Gore) is a different matter and is what it is. I’ll respect the outcome of that process. However, that’s different than a tyrant making shit up to hold on to power after the population is ready to put him out to pasture.

Fair enough. So whoever wins the initial count (whenever that is) is the winner and the loser can appeal?

But, for a moment, lets say Trump doesnt see it that way, and I dont think he does, then things will get ugly.
I think he will have the DOJ with him and possibly the scotus. If the election is close, he can make a case.
The law, imo, has already fallen. So it just depends on the politics.

Fair point, Turk, except the states are responsible for the statewide elections including an election of a POTUS. This is a benefit of the electoral college that states certify election results rather than a taint/choad like Bill Barr. Of course, the SCOTUS is not without a role.
