After missing on Cormac Ryan, Rivals' Corey Evans takes a look at who the Wildcats' next target could be in his Twitter Tuesday mailbag.

It's good to see NU getting so much attention from the national guys this recruiting cycle...

Story: Twitter Tuesday

It's disappointing to see NU show how competitive they are yet not get credit from some of these top recruits... but maybe a couple will go our way soon.

For me, THT is a must in this cycle. He's got a long-term relationship with the whole Baldwin and appears to be a do-it-all matchup nightmare in the mold of Bonzie Colson.

Landing him would also complement rather than co-opt any of the excellent lead guard options still very much on the board. I can dream about landing both Ayo and THT, right?

How about just grabbing Baldwins kid out of the 8th grade? He is projected as he he best prospect in the state!

Interesting that there is no mention of Nance in this article, or Cohill. My current dream class assuming four spots is:

Dosunmu
Cohill
THT
Nance

I know some want some legit bigs, but I think that is a position priority for 2019, not 2018.

I really wish one domino would fall sooner rather than later...

I think Collins and staff will do fine this recruiting cycle.

Agree. Not concerned. For all we know, they decided Cormac wasn't their priority.

Dosunmu
Cohill
THT
Nance

I think a more logical class would be:
Nance
THT
Kopp or Bey
and a PG not Dosunmu or Cohill

I assume a THT and Ayo combination is a pipe dream, but I'd give a pinky toe to see that for the long-term local recruiting impact.

Let's focus more on who is actually on this team next year than speculating on the whims of 18 or 19 year olds. Next year, we will have off the bench, Skelly, Brown and Benson. And two newcomers in Rapolas who is 6'9"-6'10" and has a much more developed game than Tap did at this stage of his career and a 6'4" talented two-guard who has playmaking and penetrating skills that NU has not had. That second 5 will be able to extend leads next season.

The thing about Rap that excites me is that he's a guy that likes to mix it up inside. He's much more of free-throw line in guy than a hovering out by three guy. So you have potentially two guys on the floor at all times who can do damage in the paint (Skelly, Benson, Rap and Pardon). If you pay attention to them it's tougher to guard the wings.
NU will be a much tougher game next year.
