This past weekend was a rough one for NU’s uplifting athletes chapter, as the Cats scored zero touchdowns and generated just one turnover. (No credit for the sympathy field goal.)



However, NU still managed to make a strong contribution to the pledge drive:




Excellent work by Cole Freeman and the Cats to benefit rare diseases research.

It was acknowledging that such a fundraiser is not zero-sum. A 41-3 game is as good for the pledge drive as a 24-20 game would have been; probably better, considering the level of interest among the two fanbases at this point.

Embrace the suck, old pal.
