Utah has come storming back to take the lead. Both teams have playmakers that can make big plays on both sides of the ball. Interesting game so far.

That's not the takeaway I have from this game. My takeaway is that Utah plays the way Fitz would like to play. Run the ball, defend the run, balanced offense, win third down and the turnover battle and make the opposition drive the length of the field. Utah's offense is far from sexy, but it's hella effective.

USC’s qb really got beat up in this game by Utah’s defense and had to leave. My observation was the athleticism of both teams in this game. Have to agree Utah’s defense was particularly impressive in this game. Utah essentially knocked out USC out of a top 4 bid.

Utah has good players and recruits a lot of California guys with a chip on their shoulder over not being recruited by the California PAC schools. More than the athleticism on Utah, I was impressed by the motor and want-to of the Utah guys. This is a lot different team than the one that played Florida at the beginning of the season. Willingham deserves a ton of credit for the way this program plays.

That’s exactly my take. Special teams strategy is nearly identical to that of Fitz.

They're top 10 in the nation in scoring.

1000% this. We were Utah and beat them just 4 years ago. They are what FItz wants NU to be again.

And not last in the nation in turnover margin. I suspect not turning the ball over a ton helps that cause. They are an anomaly in the PAC though. Lots of high scoring offenses in the PAC, but not a lot of great defenses. Feels a little like the Big 12 of yore.

Did anyone listen to the broadcast. They repeatedly said. The o line played together all year. They worked as a unit superbly. Regardless of whether usc had a good d, I am sure they had good to great athletes with a motor. Utah’s o line was the key to great offensive play.

Our o line has no depth and cannot survive any injuries. The o line against Nebraska. And forget Nebraska’s defense. If we stay healthy we win at least five games this year. That might not say much but no sky is falling discussion would be taking place with five wins.

Utah plays offense in a way different way from Fitz.

This team, even healthy, would not win 5 FCS games. Don't be fooled by the "close" games. Bad team! Bad! Go lie down!
