Van Zegeren to Miss Remainder of Season Due to Injury
Graduate student appeared in 25 games this season
EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern graduate student center Joey van Zegeren will miss the remainder of the 2015-16 season due to a knee injury suffered in practice on Monday.
In his lone season with the Wildcats after spending the previous four years at Virginia Tech, van Zegeren appeared in 25 games with nine starts. He averaged 3.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per game with 20 blocked shots while shooting 61.8 percent from the field.
Northwestern (18-11, 6-10 B1G) plays at Penn State
at 8 p.m. Central time Thursday before concluding its regular season at home
at 1 p.m. Sunday against Nebraska.
