What a cheap shot my Dramond after he picked a fight with a smaller teammate. Disgusting. I expected more of him, but maybe this is the kind of player Izzo really recruits.

There's truly something wrong with him. It's amazing to me that Kerr has more or less managed his craziness up to now.

BTW, it's been 10 years since DG was at MSU. Connecting this behavior to Izzo is a stretch.

What if he developed CTE from the practices at MSU where Izzo had the basketball players wear football helmers and gear? His behavior is bizarre.

That took place three years after Green left MSU, so, no.

His behavior is bizarre, agreed. Don't see any realistic link to Izzo, tho.

What do you think his punishment will be? 5 or 10 game suspension?

Also, Draymond is up for a contract extension. Will the Warriors pay him and end up in the luxury tax, or trade him now?

The Ws are in a big pickle (who remembers the Big Pickle on Univ Place?) because he's been an essential part of their mojo...and at the same time, his nuttiness apparently cannot be fixed.

I don't know if he's tradeable. Who would take him?

The Lakers would take him if they can find another team to unload Westbrook onto.

I bet the Pistons would love to have Draymond too. Along with Orlando or Dallas.

If anyone knows how to handle this situation, it's Steve Kerr - after all, he got punched in the face by Jordan (and Steve is about as good of a guy there is in the NBA).

Not to excuse any of this (somehow, professional athletes get away w/ this for the most part, as long as such physicality is committed on another player), but physical altercations/punches thrown in NBA practices is not a rare thing (getting it caught on video and leaked, however, is another).

Yea but they’re usually players of comparable size and those are legit give-and-takes.

Draymond has about 4 inches and close to 50 pounds on a small guard who he sucker punched. And he didn’t even get a suspension, although he didn’t make much of an impact last night.

Reportedly Poole got punched for calling Draymond a “triple single” based on his 4-5-5 stat lines like yesterday. Which is a pretty funny jab. No pun intended.

^ How would you know that when most of these fights/shuffles are kept under wraps?

Plus, it would seem that many would come from a player driving to the basket and getting fouled hard by a post defender (usually bigger) than what would be warranted in practice.

Going back to the Jordan punch...

Jordan - 6-6, 216 lbs
Kerr - 6-3, 180 lbs

So, Jordan had 36 lbs on Kerr and he landed his punch; but doubt Jordan got any real type of punishment.

Knowing what we know about Jordan, wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to bully Kerr like he had done to others, but Kerr is not the type who would put up w/ that.

He had to grow up young and fast due to his father having been assassinated.
