I want to go with AWalk just because I haven't seen a player make the kinds of plays he made in an NU uniform and then translate that to a successful career in the NFL, but then...... there's Pat.

Fitz of course. Even if he never coached, he'd still be the identity of NU football. Of there were a Mt. Rushmore of NU football, it would be him, Otto Graham, and... Who else is at that level?

Separate comment about Tim Mc. He didn't have nearly the supporting cast that Fitz had. Just think about that Sun Bowl team's defense without him.

Fitz didn’t have the wheels for the NFL, even in the “four yards and a cloud of dust” 1990s NFL.

Sounds like another poll to me! Take all the winners; and put together a Mount Rushmore poll for NU Football.

Rivals did that around 15 years ago and every site submitted a Mt. Rushmore. NU’s was Graham, Fitz, Burton and Autry, if I remember correctly. Obviously, that was all-time and not just a 25-year period.
