I have temporarily moved to Kirkwood, MO. Trying to save some money and not pay the cable guy. I bought a digital antenna for the major networks but getting BTN and ESPN is going to be a challenge.

Anybody know of any NU friendly spots to watch football or BB for that matter?

Mike McHugh is from Kirkwood so there must be some interest.

The local NU alumni club usually sponsors game watching gatherings at a local bar. I don't remember which bar has been the most recent home of the gatherings (I rarely go because I usually attend the games), but if you contact the STL alumni chapter they can tell you. In fact, there is an NU picnic in a few weeks that the local chapter hosts to welcome new freshmen from the STL area. Details are here: http://admin.alumni.northwestern.ed...e=1&puid=b68eb905-f21b-4fe1-a3a5-ee02fe8c11c4

You can also contact Rachel Lippman (I don't have her email handy, but you can Google her or check the web page of St. Louis Public Radio - she works there); Rachel is one of the people who run the local chapter.

Evanston is only 4 hour and 53 minute drive.

For the past few years, it's been the Highlander Pub & Grill. It's on Oakland near Forest Park. Usually a group of 10 to 20. Come on down and join us. There is also a Facebook page for NU Club St Louis which is a good way to keep up with local NU stuff.
