They still have a tough time handling pressure. Edey is a force but...

If we defended them as effectively as Rutgers did we’d win.

Every game there's someone here saying it's a must-win game. Well, this upcoming one is not. Hurrah?
It's nice to bank enough good W's this early to not sweat this one. Of course we'd all be thrilled with an NU win, and it would put NU in second place, but of course it's not necessary. If anything Purdue needs the win more than NU.

But the next two are on the road and we need to get at least one and it sure would be nice to get two of them

I do more Torvik than anything else as the free version allows a fair amount of filtering.

Before IL - #60
After IL - #57
Before OSU - #58
After OSU - #47
Right now - #40

Just curious how it went up seven between Sunday morning and now. I realize there can be a little movement in games they had nothing to do with, but seven spots in one day in which NU didn't even play seems a little dramatic. Did most of the teams they passed do poorly in actual games yesterday? Does Torvik eventually fade out earlier games or something and a bad game from long ago fell out of the dataset?

I recall Torvik was 40 after the win Saturday night and KPom was 47.

I have no idea but probably made some mistake? I just looked again and this is what shows:

11/26 - 58
11/27 - 47
11/28 - 47
11/29 - 47

Last time NU beat them in West Lafayette was 2014. Remember Drew and Sanjay?

But NOBODY beats #1 Purdue and nearly #1Purdue three times in a row!!! NOBODY!!!

That oughta do it.

Love the reverse jink, but unfortunately it's very unlikely Purdue will jump to #1 this week. We'll know in like an hour if NU gets any votes.

Must win if we want a top four seed and a spot in Indianapolis, dude. C’mon.

Thanks for noticing that. Forgot they'd been knocked off their marble pedestal. Edited. I want to make a statement to be proven false, not a false statement - like it's been working so well recently under Gato, the master.
