Began their 9-game stretch to close out the season where they, amazingly, do not play a SINGLE BIG team ahead of them in the standings. Did not look good early vs. a 6-15 (3-6 BIG) lolRutgers, squad, as we fell behind at the RAC 14-7 in the first 5 minutes of the game.

But, stunningly, Rutgers only scored 22 points in the remaining 35 minutes of action (19 until a desperation 3 pointer at the end) to hand us a win in a laugher, 55-37. Rutgers has an incredible 6 more turnovers (20) than field goals (14) and shot 25 percent for the game, when they actually did manage to get up a shot (it appeared that they may have set a BIG record for shot clock violations). Their offensive ineptitude was truly a spectacle to watch; they appear to have absolutely no idea what they were doing on most of their possessions after the 1st quarter.

Christen Inman finally returned from us, though she only logged 19 minutes in the rout (we had 8 players play more than 10 minutes, and everyone who wasn't injured played. Lauren Douglas led he way with 16 as we shot 46% (with all of lolRutgers shot clock violations, along with our cold start, it was hard for us to light it up, though we did have a 22-pt 3rd quarter).

We are currently tied for 4th in the BIG at 5-3 (16-5 overall), but own the tiebreaker, and are solid;y in the NCAAs at this point. In addition, due to the aforementioned favorable schedule (already played the top 3 BIG teams, and don't play them again) we could conceivably win every game from here on out (the best teams remaining on our schedule we have already beaten once). We are back at home on Thursday to face a Badger team who is winless in the BIG and lost to this lolRutgers team by 16. Fun times.

Thanks for the recap. Sort of a shame a very good WBB season is being overlooked due to the unprecedented success of MBB. Great job by Coach Joe and the Seniors putting together a great year despite a tragic loss of one of their own.
