No doubt some stat geek here knows NU's record when favored, but I feel angst like phat.

That's within the 3-point home bump, so it's effectively a slight underdog on the merits at a neutral field.
In that case, the outlook has improved. For some reason it appears we are now 2 point dogs.
What do oddsmakers know that we don't?
Gamblers probably started to bet against us?? Change based on better tendencies??
Remember, pointspreads are set to equalize the betting $ on both sides. There are more $ available to bet on the Boilers. That's all it means.

OK, I'll rephrase. What do bettors know that we don't? I doubt this swing is the result of a horde of West Lafayette sharpies rushing to the table.
In the big offense games, Illinois-Indiana and Minnesota-Purdue, at the times I switched to them the defensive backs might have just as well stayed on the sidelines for how close they were to the receivers. Busted play after busted play. This is the time of year when injuries are piling up. I wonder how many freshmen and back benchers were playing.
I'm starting to believe our D has improved significantly and has become one of the better ones in the B1G this year. I'll take our chances against Perdoo.
