Hillinski still has the goods to play the position... It's just that he tried to make the spectacular pass play all too often (read: often a dumb decision at the time - like throwing into triple coverage), especially when Bajakian's offensive game plan was dog lay and never matched-up with the Ds he faced. Hillinski's tendency to mimic a traffic cone behind his pass protection wall was another consequential negative. I still cannot fathom what he had over a dual thread QB like Sully, besides experience. In his case, his experience doesn't mean doodily squat when, as the 'Cat O's primary ball handler, he continued to make poor decisions time-after-time. This afternoon, Sully hasn't made the overt dumb play - thus far... That's refreshing to witness.
