We may still suck... but Sullivan changes the offense dramatically for the better

Hillinski's performance vs. Nebraska was fool's gold. Once he was scouted, his effectiveness declined. Should have made the change vs. Miami because we should have won that game.

Hillinski still has the goods to play the position... It's just that he tried to make the spectacular pass play all too often (read: often a dumb decision at the time - like throwing into triple coverage), especially when Bajakian's offensive game plan was dog lay and never matched-up with the Ds he faced. Hillinski's tendency to mimic a traffic cone behind his pass protection wall was another consequential negative. I still cannot fathom what he had over a dual thread QB like Sully, besides experience. In his case, his experience doesn't mean doodily squat when, as the 'Cat O's primary ball handler, he continued to make poor decisions time-after-time. This afternoon, Sully hasn't made the overt dumb play - thus far... That's refreshing to witness.

There have been threads like this for every QB for like the last three years.
