I had hoped we would dismantle BS like Michigan dismantled #22 BYU. We won so I guess we deserve to stay in the poll. Time will tell.

OK...who is the idiot coach or SID that has Illinois ranked #25. In the last 2 weeks they have lost by 34 to an unranked North Carolina team and squeeked by Middle Tennessee by 2 at home. Someone needs to lose their credential.

They definitely can. However neither the current nor previous Illinois HC seems to belong to the 64-man panel. Whoever voted for Illinois works elsewhere.

However two other State-of-Illinois HC do vote...I suppose we all know who they are....could one of them be the culprit?

FWIW, the +2 seems directly caused by the routs suffered by two teams ahead of NU: AR and OR, of which only OR remains in the ranking, tied for #24. Utah jumped 5 positions, but was already ahead of NU in this poll. So, that created a vacuum of two slots above NU resulting in a net +2 for NU.
SEVEN teams closed the gap with NU because they jumped more than 2 slots.
