The '15-'16 roster is up at NU Sports and here are the weight changes. For last year's players the change is from a year ago, for the freshmen the change is from the summer roster. No change in height across the roster.

Um, Scottie got huge.

Interesting that Tap and Tre dropped a few pounds.

Law +10

Demps -3
Lindsey +20

All the new folks lost weight since the summer. Maybe they didn't like the food in Spain? (That's impossible, of course, since Spanish food is amazing!)

Italian food kicks spanish food's ass. Paella is good. Risotto is great. Albondigas are good. Meatballs... great. Tortilla Espaniola good. Fritatta great. Pisto good. Ragu great. Jamon, Chalchion, Iberico good (ok Iberico is great). Mortadella, Capicola, and Prosciutto great.

But Rioja kicks Chianti ass all over the lot.

That's just the Chianti you find in the US. France and Spain try to make money on their wine so they sell the nice stuff. Italians think that they make a good Chianti, they're going to keep it all for themselves and send out the crappy stuff to Americans that don't know any better.

I drink Chianti in Rome and Milan and Rioja Gran Reserva in Spain. No contest.

You can't go wrong with Spanish reds. They just don't bottle undrinkable wine.

And the Italians send their crap here. The wine you can get in Italy is so superior and less costly than the Italians wine here in the U.S. that the justice department should open up an investigation.

OK, all, but let's assume our freshmen weren't drinking a lot of wine over in Spain. Maybe they just miss their mother's cooking.

I'm disappointed in myself. I mean, I knew it. I knew before I even opened up this thread that based on the title it was going to turn into a wine debate. But I opened it any way, and that's totally on me.

Law has 2 inches on Lindsey and they are both listed at 195.

Would have liked to have seen Law gain another 5 lbs of muscle over the off-season - should be able to get up to 200-205 and then maybe close to 210 by the time he's a SR.

Falzon and Ash had decent weight coming into their respective position as frosh (as did Skelly last year).

Those 2 don't need to gain as much weight; need to rebuild their physiques (which will result in some weight gain).
