It's clear Nebraska should not be considered a big huge win, heck they fired Frost.

But Duke looks to be not "the same old Duke" this year. And if we don't fumble into the end zone, we surely could win that one.

And isn't it just like us to inexplicably lay a turd in an otherwise miracle season? Rose Bowl year and Miami of Ohio anyone?

Maybe it was a case of 99 times out of 100 we would beat team X and they got us that one time. Maybe despite all the talk about how all games are equally important not enough film study and work ups went into a team that lost by 5 TDs to Incarnate World. Maybe someone has a medical injury or a flu bug and the fans were never told.

Maybe today we can turn it around. Maybe.

As the saying goes, hopes die last...

Aw the hell with it.......GO CATS!

Why not? We’re fans, which is short for fanatical, “A person marked or motivated by an extreme, unreasoning enthusiasm, as for a cause.”

Our cause is NU football.

Go Cats!!

Last week, we started almost a whole new secondary, and Hilinski had a terrible game - we know he can do better.

Porter and Kirtz are still shaking off the rust from their injuries and hopefully they'll be rounding into form soon.

We can win this one. Even with JON still calling the defense, lol.

I only agree with your last paragraph. The DB excuse means our "best recruiting classes ever!!!" are mismatched against mediocre FCS teams. Porter and Kirtz had 2 games and a bye week.

I will concede the point that Hilinski is inconsistent, but that wasn't "Hunter Johnson vs Duke" bad. Nevertheless, we will go as far as he carries us. Good game? We have a chance.
