Pat didn't have them ready to play at this level.

Actually Pat has the wrong guy kicking off. Mitchell consistently kicked into the end zone last season. I have been saying for years that a poor kicking game can lose you a game or two per season. Well here is game #1.

We quit that quickly?
Come on.... I had Michigan winning this game by 3 scores and it looks like I may still be wrong. We don't have the athletes or the tradition to play big time and I'm ok with that. I'd still rather be an NU fan than for any of the football factories.

So "yes" is your answer.

We haven't been overwhelmed athletically. At all. Tradition plays no part in a game once the ball is kicked off.

Um. Yes. Our offense cant hit their ass with either hand. Take away any "bad calls" and we are still down by 2 or 3 scores

No no, there was a missed holding call on every single Michigan scoring play and a phantom call on every single good Northwestern play! The refs are out to get us! It's a conspiracy!

I'll readily admit that the snowball effect is building the wrong way.
I'll agree there. The only long gainer is called back by a very questionable blocking in the back call. Every flag is being called on the Cats. Targeting, really? Think I just saw Harbough give the ref his check.

Oh I see. My mistake. We'd win with neutral refs. What a shame

Its only one game even though i despise mich but they are beating our asses

What the hell does tradition have to do with 3 hours on grass TODAY?

Tradition = 108k fans and an intimidating atmosphere - not the place you want your QB making his first conference road start. Take that out of the equation and NU is still probably getting its butt kicked, but tradition isn't helping NU at all
