Walkerfan, I’m all for anyone, including Brown,to play PG , to see if we can have important improvement at the point guard. I only saw Brown for a couple minutes. What happened? I truly think Ash is our best point guard, and we would be in the NCAA tournament if he started every game this year. But, I respect divergent opinions. Seems like we had played better with Ash in there. The truth will come out in the long run. If Ash can’t play against Rutgers or MSU, I’m all for letting Brown start. If Ash is healthy, I would start him. No biggie, either way. Unless we win our next five games and two BT games in tournament, we ain’t dancing.Brown was the backup as he should have been for many games. Ash, who would not have helped offensively, was out with a lower body injury and Assistant Coach James at halftime said it was his knee. As for Maryland, James said Maryland’s defense was to deny McIntosh the ball and force anyone else to beat them. Maryland has quick PGs (Cowen) who made it difficult to get into their offense. Law also was a nonfactor on offense for most of the game. Maryland is a well coached team who hit their shots (Huerter) and found weak spots in the zone. NU plays them in 9 days and hopefully, the outcome will be different like it was the second time we played UM. Maryland is 13-2 at home with two closes losses to No. 3 Purdue and No. 4 MSU who might be the No. 1 team in the nation this week as Nos. 1-3 all lost.

That is his objective.Your little performance art piece is extremely grating.
Why don't you "Ignore" him then? You can't bitch about it if you choose to read it.Your little performance art piece is extremely grating.
Exactly! Free speech is your right! By the way, I think we all agree, we need more production from the point guard! Ash is our best chance, imho. Why don't you "Ignore" him then? You can't bitch about it if you choose to read it.
BMac had Ash production at PG yesterday. Needs work!!! Dang!!!!!By the way, I think we all agree, we need more production from the point guard!
Actually Mac didn't play well before hurting that knee again. He has simply lost all confidence in his outside shot and that allows teams to cut off his dribble penetration. Still he will be missed next season because he runs the offense. Think that Lindsey can be replaced, simply because he scores big every 3 or 4 games and doesn't add much else. There has to be someone who can guard anybody better then Skelly. Overall hope they make an NIT run and the new guys like Lathon, Turner, Kopp and a healthy Falzon can contribute more then the guys who are leaving.Bmac also tweaked his knee again and did not look the same after that.
Love it! Double Dang! You made me laugh so hard, I contiplated putting you on ignore!BMac had Ash production at PG yesterday. Needs work!!! Dang!!!!!
You is an ash hater!Ash is not the best option. Anyone who knows basketball talent is aware of that. BMac scored 24 points on Tuesday and was the best player on the court. If you left Ash in a gym with no one on the court and ran the clock, he could not score 24 let alone he would have scored 0-4 points v. UM, the no. 20 in the country as of Tuesday. Too funny! LOL at the most clueless poster in the world.
I don't like to use Ignore on people. I'd rather just try to read around it. I know I've posted dumb stuff on here sometimes and so I give everyone a lot of lee-way. But this has gotten ridiculous and many of us have very politely asked him to give it a rest. He is clearly a good NU fan and I have no problem hearing his opinion. But when nearly half the board are his posts about one player, then its ruining things. If the moderators won't do something about it, then I think its up to the rest of us. As of today, I am putting him on Ignore until I hear that he has given up this act.Why don't you "Ignore" him then? You can't bitch about it if you choose to read it.

I feel the same way, C.
I really tried to put up with the nonsense, but after putting said poster ignore (only the second one on my list), I've enjoyed reading the threads again.
It was simply too much stupid for me to handle.
You know as I kind of suffer through this season,,,I think I just keep coming to the same conclusion....This is a limited group of very good guys who overachieved last year and gave us all a hell of a ride. BMAC is constantly double teamed when he puts the ball on the floor now...Teams have adapted..When he passes out of the double team and we hit the 3s we are ok.+ or if he can slip it to Pardon off the screen....but that is a slim margin..the real answer would be another real good take it to the hoop create a shot of the dribble (Law occasionally) guy...at this time no one fits the bill. But I continue to be impressed by how hard these guys play despite what has to be a deflating year for them....although occasionally Lindsey seems to get caught up in the downward spiral.. I just do not see a lot of options for the offense to get much better...just going to continue to watch them try and climb the mountain
He's not a bad guy (I think) but definitely has issues. He's the only one I have on ignore.

Agree BMac had a disappointing Senior season. But he is still a better PG than Jordan Ash. He is by far the best PG on the NU roster....not even worth debating. Wrassler just likes to stir the pot and get a rise out of some of you! Dang!!!!Scoring 24 points in one game doesn’t mean squat. BMac has had a horrible year, “anyone who knows basketball” knows that. The guy has regressed beyond anyone’s imagination especially CC. You could throw anyone out there and they’d have as good a shooting percentage (or better) and less turnovers. #callitlikeitis
Actually, as bad a shooting year as BMac has had, he is shooting a higher % from both 2 and 3 than Jordan. And Ash has made just 3 more FT's than you this season, wrassler. BMac is among the Big 10 leaders in FT accuracy. Just wish he got to the line more frequently.Ash is just as good a shooter as BMac but plays way better defense. Ash has 13 turnovers in 24 games, wheras Mac has 60 turnovers in 24 games. Mac is twice as likely to turn the ball over.
So it's ok that a guy that was unanimous preseason all BIG is held scoreless because teams have "adjusted" or have a quick point guard? You know as I kind of suffer through this season,,,I think I just keep coming to the same conclusion....This is a limited group of very good guys who overachieved last year and gave us all a hell of a ride. Yes,,,,,a combination of things and the kid had a not good game.....maybe you should go over to his house and ask for his scholarship back,,,,,,I really hope you lost your house betting on the game,,,cuz I cannot imagine anything else that would justify your anger on a kid who has played from my perspective as hard as he could for 4 years and has had way more good games then poor....In fact I hope you lost your car too.So it's ok that a guy that was unanimous preseason all BIG is held scoreless because teams have "adjusted" or have a quick point guard?

Fair enough. I don't like to do it either, but I just feel like this whole routine of his is childish and sometimes the best way to handle a child who is being annoying is just to ignore them for a little while. Since asking nicely hasn't worked, it seems like this is the only option. It is nice that people can have it as an option, but I used it to ignore XBob at one point and it turned out to be a silly mistake since it was at a time he was hyperposting, and the threads would make little to no sense with all the ignored posts. And, as it turned out, I had misread XBob when I ignored him at any rate. Would be reluctant to put anyone on ignore ever again, and, to be honest, Wrassler would not be in my short list of people to put on ignore even if I were doing so.
I'm actually not angry at all. I'm a casual fan who lives in MD so I went to the game. I like Mac a lot and was , of course, surprised at the result. More surprised at people explaining it away like he's some rookie playing against NBA competition. He's one of the best NU players in a generationYes,,,,,a combination of things and the kid had a not good game.....maybe you should go over to his house and ask for his scholarship back,,,,,,I really hope you lost your house betting on the game,,,cuz I cannot imagine anything else that would justify your anger on a kid who has played from my perspective as hard as he could for 4 years and has had way more good games then poor....In fact I hope you lost your car too.
Both had something in common......knee injuries. To be fair to him, I suppose it is similar to JJTBC getting stuffed in a few games this year. Just...odd

Precisely, but it's really a lot of fun watching GCG and mike webb rise to the bait. (Besides, "ignore" is a bit of a cop-out, with apologies to FloridAlum.)Why don't you "Ignore" him then? You can't bitch about it if you choose to read it.
