I am wondering what if the Cubs win tonight and end their 100+ year dearth of a championship might affect NU's basketball drought. If they do, will there be more pressure on us to be successful in reaching that glorious ticket to the NCAA dance? I am all for the Cubs winning the title and we getting that breakthrough season. Both possibilities just seem to be simultaneously a bit surreal and sublime. Anyone else thought about this?

Doubt it but I always hoped to see NU in the Rose Bowl-check, Cubs in the World Series-check, now the Cubs as World Series Champs on the horizon, how far can it be until NU goes "dancing".
It won't matter because if the Cubs win the World Series, the apocalypse will be upon us shortly.
I think this World Series may wreck our team chemistry... all in good fun.
Seems like the guys on this team genuinely like each other, which is important in a small locker room.

I've been in it...it isn't that big...renovations on the way, though.
