No question, Fitz is great for NU. Question is, can he be more than a cheerleader for NU sports? Or can he bring football back? Should he be AD to replace Gragg?
No Spring Game again I assume? No more meet the team night before the 1st game. I like Fitz but he continues to turn off the few fans they have left.Fitz's sneaky side.
Holding spring workouts in stealth.
Hiding his new plays
No more interest by many.No Spring Game again I assume? No more meet the team night before the 1st game. I like Fitz but he continues to turn off the few fans they have left.
By the fans or no interest by NU to do it? I attended many spring games and meet the team nights. Pretty well attended. If nobody cares then that speaks for itself. When the team is bad, you should try new things to market "Chicago's Big Ten' team.No more interest by many.
That would assume NU cares. They might. Little evidence of it. PF clearly finds fan and media to be necessary evils.By the fans or no interest by NU to do it? Anything new at all?
I went to one in 2012, not sure if that was the last or not, so Fitz definitely did them. When was the last year we actually had a spring game? Was it under Walker? I know Fitz doesn't like them, but with all these new coaches on staff, simulating a game might be a good learning experience for all.
Yes, but the point is why no longer? I have met and talked with his dad--a truculent and defensive man. Has Fitz retreated into his own world, in which his measure is previous achievements? I doubt it. I believe he knows and will take NU's football program much further.I went to one in 2012, not sure if that was the last or not, so Fitz definitely did them.

Fitz used to have them. Last one was around 5-6 years ago. Nice free event with some concession stands open. Nice chance to roam around the stadium and see/do things you cannot do on game day. It was always a nice family event and easy to attend. NU talks about getting non NU alums to become fans and this was a great event to foster that. For whatever reason, Fitz continues to take the program underground. Not wise considering the product he has put out there 3 of the last 4 years. I find it baffling.maybe they can't come up with a format
Wonderful word -- truculent. At my age it's a quality I'm trying to achieve. Doesn't come naturally but I'm working on it. 😊I have met and talked with his dad--a truculent and defensive man.
This is a LITTLE bit funny. As opposed to a small rabbit that is in good shape - a little fit bunny.Check Reddit for details.
In his way, he did.I was actually hoping you'd refer me to The Rock.
They know everything on The Rock. They even know what our record is going to be next year. This is a LITTLE bit funny. As opposed to a small rabbit that is in good shape - a little fit bunny.
I was actually hoping you'd refer me to The Rock. Or Let's Tailgate for my fan gear needs.
Fitz finds fan to be a necessary evil. In his perfect world, there would be no fans, no media, just pure football because it’s an important job they do.Fitz used to have them.
