My cable provider only offers BTN 1 on TV and for BTN 2 games it is relegated to computer viewing. Our game with Ball State on BTN2 was not available on "the big screen."

I see that Scott Graham will be offering play-by-play; Glen Mason, analysis; and J. Leman, side line. Does this foretell whether our game with the Gophers will be the featured Big Ten game on BTN to fill the BTN1 slot?

As an aside it will be interesting to hear Glen Mason's analysis. I am not sure he has ever recovered from our Victory Right win in the Metrodome - one of the more memorable games I have been able to attend in person. On the other hand he has been saying some uncharacteristically complimentary things about our program on BTN this week.

Our game is the only one on BTN at 11 AM so it will be on the main channel. The broadcasters have nothing to do with it.

Alaska:
Pick up a Roku for your TV- BTN2 go is available for it at no additional charge as you are getting BTN on your Cable now. I saw the BS game using it on on my big screen and the transmission was flawless. No commercials- also an advantage. I think it will be a great boon to the basketball season where BTN uses multiple channels. Also all the non-revenue sports are available, press conferences etc. Amazon will have good prices and I'm sure prompt delivery to the Great White North.

Just FYI, BTN only uses multiple channels during football season. However, BTN2GO is still useful during basketball season -- if they are showing two games back to back, and the first one runs long, the second broadcast will usually start on the internet.

not anymore. Michigan against marland was just changed to 11 am

here in Colorado, our game has been demoted to BTN2go as Xfinity only carries 1 BTN channel. Obviously Mich-MD trumps the Cats and Gophers. Will get more use from my Roku app which worked fine last Sat.

Colorado? I thought you were in Arizona.

Thanks for the update. Just got bumped to BTN2Go on cable here in Alaska as well. :(

You really need to use the gamefinder for your location. While it's been bumped to BTN2Go in some areas that don't carry two channels, it's still on the main one, for example, on Xfinity in Chicago:

12:00 PM (ET) / 11:00 AM (CT)
- MINNESOTA VS. NORTHWESTERN: channel 52 or 256 (HD) and BTN2Go
- MICHIGAN VS. MARYLAND: channel 692 or 694 (HD) and BTN2Go

4:00 PM (ET) / 3:00 PM (CT)
- NEBRASKA VS. ILLINOIS: channel 52 or 256 (HD) and BTN2Go

Important point. I was only speaking for my location but outside of Chicago it does look like it will most likely be on BTN2 where there are two BTN Channels and for the rest of us with one BTN channel relegated to BTN2go.

Hey mesa, I don't know much about Roku but sounds interesting. Doing a quick search, it looks like they have 3 models - which do you have, and what do you recommend? I think the Roku 2 may suit my needs as I only need to stream internet to the TV, primarily BTN.

I've Got both the Roku 3 and Roku 1. 1080 on Living room TV and 720 on Bedroom TV. I do a lot of streaming accessing Netflix, Amazon Prime and Acorn. If you enjoy British TV, Acorn is the way to go. Roku 2 should work just fine as I think it is 1080 as well.

Thanks Mesa. Gonna go with the Roku 2.

A few questions regarding Roku. If I use Roku to stream BTN2Go to my HDMI equipped. TV can I record the game onto my DVR cable box? Do I need to get the player or will the stick version of Roku work equally well? If it makes any difference my 4 year old TV does have wireless internet capability though the included services are limited and quite frankly I have never used them. An added non Roku question. I have access to Apple TV, does it also come with BTN2Go as Roku does? The TV has both HDMI and USB slots.

My cable plan does allow me access to BTN2Go and I had no problems watching last week's game on my large screen computer monitor but it would be nice to see the game on the 65 inch TV screen, especially if I can record it as well.
