We are a really good team. We have all the pieces to be competitive and be a .500 team in the Big Ten. We have excellent outside shooting, solid point guard play, a strong inside presence, a pretty decent bench, we rebound well, we are getting physically stronger, and we have a coaching staff that recruits and develops Big Ten caliber talent. We have had more than our share of injuries this year and we are only going to get better. I am encouraged by the continuing upward direction of the program under Collins. The Minnesota loss was a downer, but we showed a lot of toughness today to bounce back and beat Nebraska.

I think we're an NIT team unless Mac rediscovers his form on a consistent basis. He's hit at least one big shot at the end of every close win against a major opponent (Wake Forest, Dayton, and now a circus floater against Nebraska). As good as Lindsey and Law have been, neither has shown the ability to close a game. Mac has to be the guy.
