Pretty good looking back for a walk on sophomore. Anybody know anymore about him?

Having said that...he is the same guy that broke off several big runs in our fall "scrimmage" (or whatever the hell that was)

3 times practice player of the week last year. HUDL 40 time listed as 4.41 (cough). His highlight film is entertaining as it shows him scoring as a RB, WR, punt returner, and DB. He strikes me as a kid who just plays football. I think we might see more of him soon enough.

Anderson was looking good but had a fumble but made up for it.

He is listed as a WR in the official roster...didn't he play as a RB?
He didn't have any reception, but ran impressively with over 11 ypc in 5 attempts (31 yards was his best). Of course he wasn't facing a stellar D (or close to it).

No.

Against Ball State
Sorry but I agree with GCG, NO. NU has JJ, Anderson, Vault, Long, and Moten, so why would this kid get playing time, other then maybe on Special teams. Hope it's not because Fitz is trying to keep the score down.

If we didn't see Moten yesterday, chances are that he is shirting this year.

My guess it is Fitz's way to keep the practice squad guys motivated. Reward for hard work. Fair enough. Listed as a WR. Didn't appear to be a skilled running back. Would not switch the football from his left arm on sweeps to the right.

Right or wrong, NU coaches guys not to switch hands unless they're out in the open, figuring that the risk of having the ball punched out during transition doesn't offset the incremental gain of having the ball in the outside arm.

I think we ought to give Acker a big break. The guy is small (too small, perhaps) but very quick. He actually made moves and outran some people. No reason to expect him to move up from 5th string (Anderson would be 4th, and is also very quick) but we've had starters in the Fitz era who never looked that good, even in garbage time. This IS a deep team.
