Saturday is a big day for Northwestern’s football team. It’s Homecoming. It’s Iowa. And it’s the 20th anniversary of the 1995 Rose Bowl team.

It’s also going to be a big day for Wildcat recruiting, for all the same reasons.

WildcatReport has learned that four prominent juniors, one sophomore and three commits will be in the stands at Ryan Field to watch the Wildcats take on the Hawkeyes.

2017 prospects

Jace James is a 6-foot, 175-pound wide receiver from Carol Stream (Ill.) Glenbard North, the alma mater of Justin Jackson. He doesn’t report any offers at this time. Hudl highlights

Collin Stallworth is a 6-foot-5, 185-pound wide receiver from Rochester (Ill.) Dunlap. He is not in the Rivals database, but he is drawing interest from several Big Ten programs. Hudl highlights

Pete Werner is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound safety from Mount Vernon (Ind.). He reports one offer, from Illinois State, but is drawing interest from several Big Ten programs. Hudl highlights

Eric Wilson is a 6-foot-4, 280-pound guard from St. Louis (Minn.) Benilde St. Margaret’s, the alma mater of NU forward Sanjay Lumpkin. He’s a high academic player whose only offer is from Yale, but he lists NU, Minnesota and Notre Dame as schools of interest, along with several Ivy League schools. Hudl highlights

2018 prospect

Micah Jones, a 6-foot-4, 183-pound sophomore from Gurnee (Ill.) Warren who already holds offers from NU, Iowa and Vanderbilt, will be taking his sixth visit to Northwestern. WildcatReport wrote about his last visit to Evanston. Hudl highlights

Commits

In addition to those prospects, 2016 commits Cameron Kolwich, Riley Lees and Gunnar Vogel will also be in attendance.
