If we beat Michigan, Maryland,and lowly Rutgers,we are likely 4th in the Big Ten! At most fifth! We are in the conversation for the NCAA tournament and relevant again at 7-5 in BT? Never give up! Go Cats. Collins likes the way we have been playing lately,and so do I!

I love your enthusiasm though I rarely share it at your level, but it occurs to me that a basketball team is more likely to get hot than a football team and NU won out in football so why not hope for that? Certainly, we hope the guys are playing for that and putting in all the effort that such a finish would require so why not us fans.
1) Last years team got hot at the end of the season.
2) The home court is probably just now feeling like a home court.
3) These last opponents are not the toughest NU has faced (MSU will be difficult but the rest are a 50/50 toss up or better and who knows if the scandal at MSU will impact the players).
4) What a great story it would be if both football and BB finished strong just as the new facilities were coming on line.
I think your math is off. Northwestern is currently 5-6 in the Big Ten. Winning 3 straight would make them 8-6, not 7-5. Considering Nebraska and Michigan are sitting at 4 losses, Northwestern likely isn't passing them with 3 straight wins and would still be at best 6th in the Big Ten.
Current KenPom odds peg the chances of going 3-0 in those games at <6%.

NU held Michigan to their second lowest point total of the season and still lost by 11. UM will not shoot that badly Tuesday......
Michigan barely beat Minnesota tonight! They have to turn around and travel to Evanston in tough weather conditions. I like our chances! Jump all over em early!
Cats led 14-5 in Ann Arbor....how'd that game turn out?? Dang!!!!
Is Northwestern going to play the zone again? Because Michigan sure figured it out in the 2nd half and got lots of open looks.
