Watched the game until the end to see those 2 players put up points but they constantly bum me out. Either they are clueless that viewers like me keep watching because of them or they are afraid to shoot.

Clarification in case they dont understand....shoot the damn ball. Thats why you are in the game......and for no other reason.

They'll shoot if they get a good opportunity in the flow of the game. That opportunity never came last night. If they are willing to work hard enough to play B1G basketball as walk-ons with very little reward, that means they respect the game and their opponents not to turn the last two minutes into a clown show of 25-foot shots just to get their names in the scorebook. Tino had a rebound and Charlie had his second block in two games.

I would love to see either one of them score and will cheer like crazy when it happens, but I'm there to watch basketball, not a circus act.

frankly, I would like to see the offense run a play for them and give them a shot. I love seeing them out there. They both had attempts last game, but not last night. Tho, Charlie had a great defensive play where I think he had a block, then saved it from going out of bounds and was able to pass it to a team mate. It was fun

Sorry but it looked like both had good opportunities in the flow of the game and both hesitated and ended up not shooting.

It's a Turkism for:

Putting on my tinfoil hat now, I'm worried that the other players aren't wild about our walk-ons. I say this only because usually when an end of the bench walk-on gets into a game, the entire focus of everybody else on the floor is to get that guy a bucket. I don't really see that with our guys. They never run a play to set up an open look for Charlie or Tino.

I will note that when the only thing you have to complain about the past two games are lack of a play design for your walk-ons, then things must be going pretty good.

Charlie had a great defensive effort, block and recovery. But he was pretty bad about recovering from his help defense role getting back to the perimeter. He has potential!

Tino had a chance for a drive, but fumbled his dribble and lost the ball? And one of them had a two second open look at the top of the key, wasted it and passed it off.

From my seat, the team seems to appreciate them and cheer for them as part of the team. It's always good when they're in the game because that means the game is already over, the clock just doesn't know it.

As long as we are up by 35 and not down by that much

Maybe they don't want to lose any playing time by taking a bad shot while we are up by 40? What is Charlie's Dad famous for- other than being married to Elaine Benis and being Charlie's Dad? Does anybody know? I am just a little curious.?!/"

I'm not in the biz but will try to respond. While not necessarily "famous" to people outside the film/tv industry, Brad Hall is a respected working professional who has written, acted, directed and produced various projects and won at least one major award on his own. He's reportedly currently producing and "show running" a TV series set in Paris, starring Meg Ryan. He and Julia were seen on an amusing plot thread 2-3 years ago on Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm show.

Again, Brad may not have amassed the earnings of his wife but within the business he is well respected. They met, as you may know, at Northwestern.

Thanks! Now I am an even bigger fan!

Uh they ran TWO plays for Tino in the Chicago State game. He just didn't finish. Unfortunately Charlie has a problem getting open at all.

Maybe I just couldn't recognize them because they weren't very good. So now my conspiracy theory is that our coaches have lost their knack for play design.

Pretty strange that the only thing left to complain about is not running plays for walk-ons in 30 point blow-outs.......
