WildcatReport Bracket Challenge 2018

As the reigning WildcatReport bracket champion, I've decided to take it upon myself to create this years' group. Apologies if someone has already done this–I can delete this message, if needed.

The group can be found via ESPN's Tournament Challenge. You'll need to create an account, go to the bracket challenge page using the top navigation menu, and click on an option menu that says something like, "create or join group."

Our creative group name for this year is "WildcatReport 2018." The password to join this group is "WelshRyan." You must create your bracket by the start of the tournament (this Thursday), and you're allowed a single entry. I'll leave the grand prize up to LouV.

Also, if you're feeling really lucky (like, 1/1,000,000,000,000 lucky), I'm pretty sure Warren Buffet and that mortgage company are still doing the billion dollar perfect bracket thing. So have at it, everyone!

OK, here is a snapshot in time now that we are down to the Elite Eight.

Congratulations to Eurocat hanging onto first place as of tonight. KayAlaska, my alter ego, just moved into 2nd. CappyNU, TVCoastieCat, and bwm57 share 3rd.

FWIW only CappyNU and KayAlaska of the above have their championship team selection (Duke) still alive, but there are several in 6th place, and below, who also have still alive championship selections who could move up to fill the void if Duke goes down. Far from over.

What do you know - down to the Final Four and our own Lou V has risen to the top! (If Michigan takes the championship Lou will finally get to join The Rock with that 3 month WildcatReport Subscription that should be his for winning. I wonder if he is second guessing himself at this point for not having made the prize a lifetime membership? )

Surprised I only dropped three slots with Duke's loss but at this point despite Eurocrat at 2nd and TVCCoastie at 3rd, 2backdoorpass looks like a lock for emerging as the winner if Michigan loses and Villanova makes it as the champion.

Should Kansas win out then AirJordan presently tied at 6th would certainly threaten.

Anyone have a clue as to what the end result will be if those rambling Ramblers ramble into the championship? Absolutely no one here in our group picked them to win out.

Well, it’s gonna be me vs. backdoorpass for the WR title on Monday night. We both picked Michigan vs. Villanova did the final. I have the Wolverines, while he has the Wildcats.

Obviously, winning three free months of WR does me no good, so backdoorpass will claim the prize, regardless of the outcome. So congrats BDP! (The bragging rights are the most important thing, anyway; I’ll be more than happy to win that — as well as watch the Big Ten capture its first national title since 2000.)
