Nebraska/Minnesota is locked in to Thursday.

WVU/PSU is leaked for Saturday night on NBC.

FOX would obviously take Ohio St/Indiana.

My understanding is Michigan won’t agree to non-Saturday home games.

That leaves NBC’s Sunday night slot with the following options:
NU/Rutgers
Fresno/Purdue
Utah St/Iowa
Buffalo/Wisconsin
Toledo/Illinois
CMU/Michigan St
Towson/Maryland

I hope so

I really have a hard time believing that NBC would go anywhere near a game between the two worst teams in the B1G, conference matchup or not. Fresno-Purdue is a much more attractive game. But it's not impossible.

It will say a lot about the importance of TV markets

I know it's UTEP on the 9th, but I don't think Fitz would be thrilled with a short week just to accommodate NBC.

Don't sleep on UTEP. They return a 3 year starter at QB and. 1000 yard WR. They won 5 games and played a couple of close ones. This is not a gimme.

I can't imagine that folks here (or in the NU FB organization itself) are viewing any game as a gimmie based on past experience. Although given we keep losing games to bad teams, maybe evidence suggests that we are? Or that we just stink...

Doesn't Michigan State alway open on Friday night?

Buffalo went 7-6 last year with several close losses and a bowl victory, and Wisconsin is a big draw. I suspect that is the “most” appealing of the remaining W1 matchups.

It will be better for my schedule if our game at RU is on Sunday night as I plan to attend live. I won’t hold my breath.

It will mean a short week of prep for UTEP but the fact school is not in session then should help mitigate that.

Thanks for clarification. What about the dreaded Peacock Network?

There will be eight B1G-controlled games streamed exclusively on Peacock. They have announced the first three, and NU is not involved in them, but we could be in any of the remaining five. We'll find out as the season progresses.

(There will also be 13 B1G games on NBC and those will also be simulcast on Peacock.)
