When I watch film, I see that our WR are not getting open. It was understandable against Stanford, but EIU is awful and we still couldn't get open. Who the heck is recruiting our WR? Thorson has a tough enough job playing as a RS freshman, we could have at least given him some help...

Relax. Vitale was open all day and Carr most of it. We did very little roll out with Thorson to create space and the playbook was severely constricted. We basically didn't use Jones and Shuler didn't play. Let this one play out, I think they have been much improved from last year and Dickerson will hopefully be back soon,

Come on, doc.. Cant you just be happy that we are ranked and looking much better than past two years? Im sorry you have to stare at people's anal holes all day but cmon!

Seems like we had guys open most of the time. We didn't throw it a whole lot. I'm not sure whether McCall intended to stretch the field and perhaps the deep routes weren't open?

Better question is who the heck is coaching them?

Heck, I'm constantly told Penn State has stud wide receivers. They couldn't get open against us last year, and I didn't see them running wild against Temple. We'll be OK if we can run the ball effectively and run play-action. As Thorson settles in, the playbook should open and the passing game should improve. I certainly expect a lot more diversification this week than against EIU.

Just not true. Thorson was 11/16 with a couple of off target throws. Receivers were open often enough.
