Springer will be fired, and be replaced by Jerry Springer. Ron Magers and Carol Marin will quit their jobs in protest. Jerry Springer himself will resign under fire after being found to have employed the services of a hooker...and paying with his credit card.

need to correct to read..."university athletic department-issued credit card."

WMU could be a dangerous game, especially if Corey Davis is returning to Kalamazoo.

I'm assuming this deal gets worked out with Fleck

15-0, national champs. Jackson wins Heisman. Walker leads nation in TFLs, sacks, tackles, and kittens saved from burning buildings. Thorson leads nation in passing efficiency, dates Miss Illinois, and gets offered full-time studio job with BTN between games. Alex Olah, having used up his basketball eligibility, plays one year of football as a field goal-blocking specialist.

I know you're just being funny with Alex but is that a real thing? Eligibility I mean, not kick blocking specialist.

Yes, a four-year athlete can take a fifth year in another sport. I remember a former Duke basketball player spending a year as the Syracuse QB.

Offense is marginally better, defense is worse. Defense can't compensate for lack of offensive production. 5-7 to 7-5.

you can actually play six seasons across five years of collegiate sports if the timing worked out correctly. For a totally ridiculous hypotehtical, Olah wants to play baseball. He could finish this basketball season, play this baseball season, then return next year and play the whole baseball season as well. You have five years of eligibility, but you can only play one sport for four.
I do not know however, if you could start one sport as a freshman and another as a sophomore and play four seasons of two sports. I don't believe you can.

My only prediction is that most of these predictions end up wildly off-base. If nothing else, the 2015 Northwestern team should have taught us that.

I thought some Baseball guys played two sports. I don't think they got extra years of eligibility to do though.

8-4. Thorson improves as does the offense but not enough to compensate for the graduation of key players on defense. Also we lose one close game on a disputed referee call or non-call.

I think the Linebackers get markedly better around Walker, and the defense gets leadership from Lancaster and a younger face at end. The secondary must replace NVH, which is easier said than done over a full season.

Offense can only get better, need some RSFR OL to step up in a big way.

Hate to piss in anyone's Wheaties but what if JJ declares for draft. If he has huge bowl game mabey he goes

JJ can't go pro, he never red shirted. And I don't think he'll be more than a very late round draft pick, even after his senior year. He'd have to pack on about 30 pounds and keep the same speed and wiggle he has now IMO

How does anybody get stuck with OSU AND MSU as crossover games? Checked the future schedules and through 2019 we play MSU 3 times, OSU twice, and every other east team once. Cat-shaft fever anyone?? Could we trade an MSU for a Rutgers or IU please????
Oh, maybe 8-4 next year.

Also, with Zeke Elliot (confirmed) and Derrick Henry (likely) coming out in this draft, it would make someone smaller like JJ a very late round pick or a free agent. McCaffrey at Stanford is having a banner year and is size-wise similar to JJ. He would be head-to-head competition in the draft if he came out (if he is eligible as a sophomore - don't know about RS). I think that anyone reasonable would be recommending that he stay at least another year to elevate his draft status.

I think we can roll with every team on that list if we maintain our D and the O picks it up. 9-3 would be ok, but after this year, I would hope 11-1 would be within reach.
I think OSU and MSU will have a few NFL defections.

Really hope one of those two highly touted DBs from recent years pans out and exceeds NVH production. Come this way Mr. Westphal, your table awaits...

I feel very confident in both Watkins and McShepard. Also heard good things on Hartage and Mayo.

It doesn't seem to matter to OSU who they lose. Last year they won the championship with their 3rd string QB. It seems that most of the guys on their bench would be starters on any other team.

In the past UM has been just as deep, they just had poor coaching. I don't know what to expect from MSU. We have played them tough in the past when they had good teams.
