Matt Lawson is our first guy in the transfer portal this year. Because Matt got hurt in the first game and only played in that one game this year, he is entitled to a medical redshirt and it looks like he is pursuing a 7th year of college football.

A check? Do you really believe he’s that much in demand? Especially coming off a major injury? He’d make more money staying at NU and participating in the TrueNU program.

I guess that is what "perhaps" means. May not be a big check, or no check at all, but he's a big body. NU was interested so I assume something was there.
