NU's Wilimovsky tuneup win for Rio Olympics

NU distance swimmer, Jordan Wilimovsky won this year's Open Water Mile Swim in Tiburon California on Sunday 9/20. Wilimovsky, a junior and current record holder of Northwestern's distance records is red shirting this NCAA swim season in preparation for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.The Tiburon Mile included World Champion swimmers from the US and Australia as well as 2012 Olympic medalists from Europe.

The Wildcats were also well represented in the San Francisco Bay race by NU alum who all placed within the top 25 male finishers. Those alum included NU record holder Eric Nilson '09, Andrew Sietz '15, and former team captains Charlie Rimkus '13 and Tim Smith '14
