Cut off at No 26 for me. Anyway, Matt Rhule is ranked too high at 29 based on last year.

They look at “body of work” with some emphasis on recent. Braun is that low because he is a first-time head coach. I’m not saying it is a bad system but it definitely has flaws.

They look at “body of work” with some emphasis on recent. Braun is that low because he is a first-time head coach. I’m not saying it is a bad system but it definitely has flaws.

Sure, his body of work was only:

• Keep the team intact after a bomb exploded with only a few weeks to prepare
• Overnight, become the face of the program doing damage control when NU leadership were nearly radio silent
• Act as both head coach AND DC, installing a new defense
• Turn a 1-11 team with the worst D in the country to 8-5 and a P5 bowl win

He did more in one season than many coaches in 3-5 years.
