Northwestern will be playing under the lights and in special Gothic uniforms on Saturday night against Nebraska, so it comes no surprise that the Wildcats will be hosting several prospects at Ryan Field for their prime-time matchup.
WildcatReport has learned that Northwestern is hosting six Class of 2015 commits for the 6:30 p.m. CT game against the Huskers, and identified two prime 2016 targets who will also be in attendance.
The six members of the Class of 2016 will consist of three local commitments…
- OL Adam Lemke-Bell of Oak Park (Ill.) River Forest
- LB Tommy Vitale of Wheaton (Ill.) Warrenville South (and younger brother of superback Dan Vitale)
- QB/ATH Lloyd Yates of Oak Park (Ill.) River Forest (and teammate of Lemke-Bell)
…plus the three defensive ends who committed within 24 hours of each other in April:
- DE Zach Allen of New Canaan (Conn.)
- DE Joe Gaziano of Westwood (Mass.) Xavieran Brothers
- DE Trent Goens of Chino Hills (Calif.)
In addition to those players already in the fold, there will also be a couple juniors who have drawn considerable early attention from the Wildcats, even if neither has an offer at this time:
- JoeJoe Headen is an unranked cornerback from Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt. The skinny 5-foot-10, 154-pounder has drawn an offer from Wisconsin and is getting interest from several Big Ten programs, plus Notre Dame.
