Second half thread vs Auburn

By the way, it was huge that the targeting penalty on Pace was correctly reversed. He’s played well in the 2nd half...

I thought he was done for the day with his injured back.
Their number 2 QB is out and I'd bet Number 3 simply doesn't know his butt from his nose except when he is picking them both.

Difference between our team and Mississippi State - love how Gerak was motioning his teammates to move away from the Auburn players in the aftermath of the unsportsmanlike conduct - avoiding unnecessary conflict. We are a class act.

NU got in Nix’s head pretty well with the first-half jawing.

Yep noticed how fast he was on that, good catch.

This one definitely more than makes up for the 2010 Outback Bowl we lost to Auburn.

Basically won the biggest bowl game under the NY6 bowls. That's the next step for the program (Big Ten Championship and a Rose Bowl/NY6 bowl). Great to have a bunch of bowl wins under the belt now for Fitz.

Sort of slayed a dragon too. Beating 2012 MSU and (any year) KY promotes yawns. Beating one of their blue bloods gives credibility

Yeah for sure, beating one of their traditional SEC "power programs" on that stage makes it matter (regardless of the merits of that argument).

Beating Auburn is way different than beating the other 2 we've beaten or if we'd beaten any of Missouri/South Carolina/Vanderbilt or somebody like that.
