Kind of tells us where NU is at this point. Possibly better than some in the West, but no where near the best in the East. Minnesota actually played Michigan tough, they just couldn't compete. Say what you will about Harbaugh, he's put together one heck of a football team. NU can be competitive against Nebraska, Purdue and Illinois. Really hope they win those three, and maybe another. The odds of winning three or four more are slim, however. They need to play better than today.

Depends on which team shows up for those games. The one that had heart and toughness to come back and beat Minnesota, or the lifeless sad sack that nearly lost to a vastly inferior opponent today.

If that second version surfaces, they will absolutely get crushed by all three. Everybody needs to point a thumb at today's unacceptable performance. Put on your big boy pants and admit, you stunk!

I have to agree with your take on the situation. Right now only Illinois is the only probable win for us, with Nebby a close second. Not sure about Purdue or Iowa. Wisconsin is most assuredly a loss. We are not a very good football team to be honest. My Alma Mater(EMU) would give the Cats a good game, as they both have beaten Howard by a close margin.

Both our lines are weak and that is going to make it very hard to win any more games. That said, this is a very different offense with Ben Bryant in there.

Illinois Purdue and Neb are winnable. Maybe get 2 of those. Iowa will be up for its game. Wisc will be a loss. 5 wins witha win over Illinois would be better than projected

4 wins would be better than projected by 2.

We aren’t good, but the entire West is putrid. Even Wisconsin isn’t particularly good. The conference championship game this year will have a 25point spread and I think the East still covers.
Like, you want to win every week, but would anybody really *want* to win the West? Maybe just forfeit the championship game.

In addition to the three traditional powers, Maryland is probably #4 in the conference.
