I think that it speaks to the truly exceptional nature of AWalk. He is both an exceptional athlete AND an exemplar of the Wildcat ethos both on and off the field. There is nothing that says the #1 jersey need go to a walkon.

In my opinion, the best possible scenario is for one of the best players to get #1. I want NU’s most naturally talented players to stand out for their unnatural work ethic, commitment, and cultural contribution.
