2017 5-star QB likes NU

A 5 star dual threat QB who grew up liking NU as a favorite team despite being from TX, and this story being written by a newspaper that covers the Oregon Ducks? This sounds like a kid we need to sign if he's as good as advertised.

I don't follow recruiting for the most part so all I can say is......holy poop. Landing him would be amazing. Let's go Fitz!

Shawn Robinson is rated as the best dual quarterback in the 2017 class per 247. The best rated "pro" quarterback, five star quarterback Hunter Johnson, has already received an offer from Northwestern, the only recruit for that year to do so thus far. He also lists the Wildcats as among his top choices. What could be . . .

So, from this article can we imply that our coaching staff has not reached out to this young man yet? If not..... its a good thing they are reading this board!! Go get him!!

Think the whole pro vs DT QB thing has been overblown.

The staff is still going after pro-style QBs - they just are going after those who are mobile enough to scramble/move around in the pocket.

As it should be, they are looking for polished passers - whether it be a pro-style or DT.

All things being equal in terms of experience, would be seeing Jones > Barrett > Miller - even if Miller is by far the best athlete.

Yes - a true DT who has as polished of a passing as a pro-style QB would be better, esp. w/ a less than stellar O-line and/or wideouts.

But if the 'Cats are going to be anything beyond a middling team, they need to correct the situation at the O-line (and at WR).

Yes. Please. Make it so.

I'm having flashbacks of Andre Dawson, wracked with Wrigley envy, showing up unannounced at the Cubs' spring training in 1987.
