I just spent some time watching 2016 Junior season HUDL highlights for these two 2018 QB prospects and I would be ecstatic if we could land either one. These two are the best QB recruits we have pursued in recent memory. I am shocked they are not more highly rated at this stage. Fields looks like a young Cam Newton and Mitchell looks like a young Russell Wilson. Both are true dual threats who can beat defenses with their arms or legs. Ideal fits for McCall's offense. We have offered and are currently in Fields' top 4. He is supposed to make a decision soon. My guess is that if Fields goes elsewhere, we will then offer Mitchell. If either one comes to NU, I would make them the odds on favorite to succeed Clayton as our starter either as true freshman or a RS freshman.
