I posted the original thread last week, the one that was taken down regarding NUs response to recent events. I posted it because it was about Northwestern University, and it is an important story, one that affects the reputation of the School. Considering that many people on this board (perhaps most) are NU alums, I thought it relevant enough to post.

And don't forget it was bye week! We really needed some new content!

I think if those folks were previously quicker on some matters, we would likely still have the rant board, where a lot of what people are complaining about now could be housed.

I wouldn’t even call it aggressive, just involved.

Way too involved! If Cap wants to spend more time with his wife and children, he should do it and spend less time calling people dickheads.

I wish we could still have the rant board for that reason. Alas, an enterprising Carl Richardson like figure took it upon himself to make its existence untenable and freely admitted to doing so. Now we’re here.

Hey wait, that was an unwarranted personal attack - where is @CappyNU now? Oh yeah, the rules vary depending on who is the author and who is the target.

And thanks for flagrantly breaking the rules you screamed about being so easy to follow and illustrating the point

Cappy is free to delete me, if warranted. The rules are easy to follow—maybe I chose not to and might get deleted. That’s ok, I’m not a baby.

For a guy that carries on about people breaking the rules, you sure have no problem breaking them your self. Who is the baby?

Par for the course around here as we have Moderators that can call people dickheads which is acceptable but Heaven forbid if we don’t agree with your takes as they suddenly are told to get over it. Comical.

I think the people who cry about it are the babies. Again, if the mods want to delete my posts, so be it!

If you click report on my posts, it’ll actually send the mods an alert and they can make the judgment.

I have zero desire to get your posts deleted. I have never reported a post in 10+ years and think the board ( as I have stated numerous times) is extraordinarily over monitoring. I have mentioned this several times to our monitor and he has taken an opposite approach of digging his heals in and it sure seems to me it is to show who is in charge here! Calling posters Dick heads is not something I would expect of someone charged with oversight of the content. The fact that there is this controversy over monitoring shows something isn’t right! They are MANY long time posters here that cause no problems that have expressed a similar opinion. They are not cantankerous like me. This is a silly discussion and could have been avoided with even a tiny bit of self reflection.
