Even though NU ended up winning comfortably, the officials gifted MD nine points. Their fourth down was stuffed and they swallowed their whistles until they decided “forward progress” was a TD, and then the safety they stole from us was worse, in my opinion. Thank goodness it wasn’t a close game at the end.

Important point. This was inexcusably bad officiating. While it’s great the Cats dominated, this should nevertheless be flagged with the conference. What if they get this crew again?
The "tush push" TD was impossible to discern from the TV. I just saw the QB get swallowed up in a giant scrum and thought "coin flip."
The non-safety was pretty egregious, IMO. Then came the ridiculous spot. As another posted pointed out, it seems officials are very hesitant to call safeties in borderline cases.
