Are you really ready to beat Michigan?

Good HS / Prep football in both counties and good to see a continuing NJ -pipeline.

I am expecting NU to stay on pace with IMG Academy. I am heading to Florida to watch" Chitown Big Cat" and the Ascenders go 6-0, and then we are watching NU beat Michigan and be 6-0. I knew Fitz would get this program rolling, I could tell by his recruits. Lots of people thought "CBC" was stupid for committing to NU over Whisky, and I hope NU keeps proving us right. Go Cats

Tune to ESPN2 in two weeks and watch us spank Paramus Catholic. We wont have to deal with 21 flags and over 220 yards in penalties in Florida like we did from the Jersey refs against Bergen.

Date and time?

Why the skepticism ? We have looked better than OSU against tougher competition . MSU hasn't looked good and barely survived Purdue. We can beat any or every team in the West, and it is looking like the East is beatable too. You win Championships with defense. Nobody picked the 2000 Ravens to win a Super Bowl, they did it with defense .

I just want to reiterate that the point of this thread was not about skepticism over whether we can or should win, but rather if we, as fans, will be able to handle the excitement and hype after we do. Please keep in mind that the last time Northwestern went 6-0 was in 1962. Some of the posters here were alive then, but most were not fans then. So it would still be a BFD.

Who cares if the fans overlook us. It is the MICH team that plays against us.
Because when fans look ahead beyond any opponent, it always puts the team's preparation at risk. Everybody knows that.

I don't meant the team. I mean you. Personally. Are you mentally prepared for what would happen if we did?

Right now, all of our coverage is like "OK, good job NU, but we don't really buy it. LOL we'll even mark you down for the playoff. Sure, OK."

But they all do that knowing we play the Fightin' Harbaughs next and when the predictions come out later this week look for about 90% picks for them to win. I have doubts about us myself. Minnesota may be quite bad. Ball State was too close. Duke and Stanford could have had off days.

If we ACTUALLY pull it off......I don't think I'm ready for it.
Actually, I am quite prepared. I wil have an 8 gal bucket handy when my head explodes.
