The Athletic: Up-and-down Northwestern improving, but Dublin opener could be indicator of season ahead.

Pretty thorough and fair season preview from The Athletic. Did Jack Fitzgerald commit?

"As of this writing, Northwestern has the No. 8 recruiting class for 2023. It’s early, and that ranking probably won’t be as high come December, but the Wildcats have departed a little from the norm in taking 20 commitments so far for the current cycle, which are more than they have usually taken this early. (They also landed a familiar face: tight end Jack Fitzgerald, who happens to know the head coach pretty well.)"

Might be a good idea to do an article outside of The Rock paywall. Think his dad is a big deal within the NU community...

I wonder - since Fitz is an employee, his kid will get some sort of tuition concession. Isn't there some sort of limitation on non scholarship aid for players? [I.e. could it count as a schollie?]

No, I don’t think so.
