Only five Cats scored, only four made a field goal today. I’ve never seen that.

Ciaravino made two early free throws.

Leach, Martinelli, Barnhizer, Berry all had between 15 and 23.

Real big win.
Needed to have it.

Sunday will be another tough one, because they’re all tough.

A good win for sure. But does reveal the apparently considerable imbalance of scoring skills from our scoring 4 to everyone else. Collins knows what he's doing when he plays Brooks and Martinelli all those minutes. We're obviously at-risk if one or more. of them get in foul trouble. I won't do the history thing here, but there have been some extremely good teams over the years that have gotten as far as the Final Four with little or no bench scoring.

Weird game, lots of big runs by both teams. We scored 2 points in the last 9:35 of the 1st half and 77 points in the other 30:25.

The Angelo starting experiment seems to have run its course, let’s go with the best 5 and hope someone can give a spark of some kind off the bench.

I was yelling at coach at the end tonight to quit giving Brooks the ball, give it to Leach because you know they're gonna foul immediately. I love Brooks, but there's no comparison at the FT line.

I was doing the same at home. In fairness, though, Indiana was overplaying Jalen, forcing us to inbound the ball to Brooks

Robbie Hummel's response to this was that Leach wasn't working hard enough to get the ball. I think he noted that the NU bench was yelling at him to do that. . . and that you could tell which guys "want" the ball in that situation. He may be struggling with his shooting right now, but Brooks definitely wants the ball in that situation.
