NU has had four four-year starters at center over the last quarter century. That's pretty amazing. Just look at the number of starts on the list below. I think this should be the ballot, but I'm open to your suggestions.
- Rob Johnson 1992-95: 45 career starts, 1995 first-team All-Big Ten, 1995 captain, Big Ten champion
- Austin King 2000-02: 43 career starts, 2000 & 2002 honorable mention all-conference, 4th-round draft pick by Tampa Bay
- Trevor Rees 2003-04 & 2006-07: 44 career starts, 2007 honorable mention all-conference, 2003 freshman All-American
- Brandon Vitabile 2011-14: 50 starts, 2013 & 2014 honorable mention all-conference, 2013 & 2014 captain
To me, this one will come down to Johnson or King. I was surprised to learn that King was never named more than honorable mention All-Big Ten.
