NU coaches are conducting a virtual visit today with big-time DE Dallas Turner of Florida powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas. Rivals has him listed as a three-star, but his offer list screams four-star. He's got offers from Bama, Georgia, Florida, Ohio State, Oklahoma, et al.
The competition seems overwhelming, but this is the kid whose dad graduated from Kellogg and told me back in January that he's always been a Northwestern fan. So NU is in the battle, at least.
The COVID-19 pandemic really hampers NU for kids like Turner, where it's essential they get him on campus for a visit. They're doing all they can in the meantime, but it's definitely an uphill battle. At least Turner, unlike most Florida prospects, knows all about Northwestern's value proposition.
