Been thinking that as well.

Lumpkin is a big loss on the defensive end - while an improved Pardon will alleviate some of that, the 'Cats were at their best when they had 3 defenders who can defend well against wings.

Gaines may very well be that guy when the 'Cats go to a smaller lineup.

1) NU and Cincinnati are my two favorite college teams, so that would essentially be Nirvana for me.

2) Uggh... I do not want our guys to hear that right before opening day. I hope they don't come out flat tonight.

Hey ... Cronin is my neighbor and UC my hometown team. Would love to be able to root for them. Just can't do it. Too many thugs and misfits on the roster over the years. Too many shady coaches. A terrible shame for a once proud and very successful program.

I thought Cronin had cleaned it up quite a bit from the Huggins years. But I'm not close to the program anymore, so I don't know. I've been impressed with Mick, but I don't know a whole lot about him. I'm a Cincinnati kid and got my PhD at the UC School of Medicine so I have loyalties there.
