For those stuck in the ESPN bubble, UNC-Oregon in the Holiday Bowl is about to get started on Fox. Nix and Maye are both playing. Should be fun.

Holiday Bowl in San Diego Petco Park.
Nice venue for a bowl game in the Gaslamp Quarter downtown- big improvement frankly than Mission Valley for fans and tourists. It appears the Padres managed to squeeze the football field on the dimensions of the ballfield with the $2M+ modifications they made to host this bowl game. Should see plenty of scoring in this game. (We did have buckets of rain recently so the field has some slippery spots esp under the diamond but nothing like the floods we’d get in Mission Valley at the old Qualcomm Stadium.)

Drake Maye is a stud QB.

I didn’t realize Mack Brown was still coaching at 71. I remember when he was the coach of the Texas Longhorns.
I remember when he was the coach of the North Carolina Tarheels (back before he was at UT). ;)

That was an exciting ending to the game last night. It was fun to watch.

Nice W by UW.

Most exciting to come might be UM - TCU, UM rightly favored by some 7.5. If TCU can summon their best game, they can win. A new name in the finals. Peace on earth and kill the Jurassic skunks.

UGA only favored by some 6.5. I think UGA wins big.

Might need a second TV to cover all the football.

South Carolina just scored a touchdown on a fake punt. Fake punts are cool.

They also just scored on a nifty pick 6.

SC is up 21-7 and I hope they win by 50.

I don’t usually cheer for SEC schools but I am today. Screw Notre Dame and the Irish stereotypes they rode in on!

They’re a Big Ten team, sans the maize and blue, I’ll be cheering them on, too. Same for the OSU.
In my opinion, Big Ten teams winning bowl games benefits NU recruiting. Good high school players want to play in the BIG, as evidenced by the 'Cats incoming recruiting class despite our horrible record. So, I always root for Michigan except when they play NU, and I never root for OSU except in their bowl game.

Forgive me brothers and sisters, but as I have a son who is a senior in Ann Arbor, I am all decked out in my Michigan gear today. Go Blue!!

Irresponsible parenting.

Became a huge TCU fan. What I like best about them is that they have an A game that looks equal to anybody. They CAN win every game but they often have to play a few quarters before they find it.

Any day Harbaugh and the Jurassic skunks lose is a good day. Ditto duh-OSU.

Oh for God sake. My Irish father embraced the stereotypes which made it impossible to insult him. Save your indignation for someone else.

Outside of their first play, this is the worst I’ve seen Michigan look all year. Wonder if they were looking past TCU.

That stupid ass play call on 4th and goal and then the pick 6 has all the momentum going TCUs way. We're about to see how they deal with some adversity on a big stage.

Wow, what a horrible break for Mich. Questionable reversal of that TD call and then why didn’t they just try a QB sneak with a Bush push on first down??? I know it’s second guessing but first and goal inside the 1 should be a QB dive almost every time, even if they know it’s coming you could get enough push or you have 3 more tries, very low risk of turnover or penalties.

Yes some really bad calls by the Michigan staff and also by The Ref on that touchdown catch

I don't understand why coaches feel the need to reinvent the wheel at the goal line. Did I hear correctly that Mullings only had 9 carries all year? You need half a yard, do 3 QB sneaks.

Michigan's offensive line can't open any holes for running backs. One dimensional offense (all pass) and Harbaugh's teams aren't built for that.

McCarthy is the problem. Playing very tight making bad reads on zone read. TCU is forcing him to make plays with his legs and he is refusing to do so. Needs to keep the ball and make TCU play the QB keep.

TCU defense is much better than I thought ( their dl Horton is a stud) but I think Michigan comes back to win this one.

Funny how we don’t have to see McCarthy’s parents and girlfriend when he throws his 2nd pick 6.

Michigan has made a lot of mistakes but TCU is winning the line of scrimmage and when you do that you usually win.

Two more reasons to enjoy the 28-16 TCU lead.

Then again I’m the guy that would attend ND games in South Bend with my family grads x 3 and sit with the visiting fans.

Make that 34-16. 😊

Maize and puke! Praying for TCU to win the whole damn thing!

This game still isn’t over. Michigan is outgaining TCU by nearly 100 yards.

Going for 2 there is colossally stupid.
