Bracketology

A lot of 10 and 11 seeds among the Big Ten teams. This will be a dogfight, come January. Should be interesting.
The Big Ten is the premier basketball conference now with almost 20 premier programs. If you get a winning record in conference, then you’ll be virtually assured of a March Madness slot.

Win enough and we’ll be in.

The B1G is fine (3rd best conference according to the metrics), but it is most certainly not the premier basketball conference.... more generally (haven't won a title in 25 years) and definitely not this year. The conference has been pretty mediocre in non-con play this year.

As much as it pains me, this year's SEC is probably the most dominant conference in college basketball history. They have 10 teams in the top 30 of NET, the highest non-con KenPom rating ever and they are a cumulative 179-22 with 20+ wins over non-SEC top25 teams. Their record against the Big12 and ACC is borderline unbelievable. Going into the weekend, they were 30-4 against ACC teams and 13-2 against Big12 teams.

Playing in the B1G won't be a disadvantage come Selection Sunday, but it's not looking like an advantage either.
