Mainly talks about the 2024 season, Lujans second year and the 2025 class!
Haha. I like Collins better than Braun. Braun is just morphing into Fitz politician coach speak.Shocker.
Yeah he really seemed unprepared and stumbled a lot.Not much here.
Ryan will upgrade soon.Yeah he really seemed unprepared and stumbled a lot.
How so?
Yes, but...who do they bring in??? Braun is a nice guy, but limited. Seems like Jackson is radio silence, so who knows......The theory is that Ryan/Jackson will force out Braun after 2025 unless we have a strong year. I’m not sure I buy it.
Anyone we want. We are rich, in the B1G, will be moving into the most expensive stadium in CFB history, etc. But don’t quit on Braun. I’m still a believer.Yes, but...who do they bring in??? Braun is a nice guy, but limited. Seems like Jackson is radio silence, so who knows......

Put the Kool aid down. The limitations associated with the NU job will not be of interest to many coaches, new stadium or not.Anyone we want. We are rich, in the B1G, will be moving into the most expensive stadium in CFB history, etc. But don’t quit on Braun. I’m still a believer.
I tend to agree, many hurdles other schools don't have.Put the Kool aid down. The limitations associated with the NU job will not be of interest to many coaches, new stadium or not.
i will say having Jackson instead of Gragg as AD will "help" a bit.I tend to agree, many hurdles other schools don't have.

The first rule of being an AD is to do no harm. Gragg managed to do harm by doing nothingi will say having Jackson instead of Gragg as AD will "help" a bit.
I think he did a ton of harm, the worst possible hire in one of the most critical times. The first rule of being an AD is to do no harm. Gragg managed to do harm by doing nothing

I thought the same thing. Premature balding and dead of winter pale doesn't help. He pretty much has exhausted the same coach speak approach. Would do well to open up a bit and show a little more personality.
Exhausted? Maybe he picked up a bug while out on the recruiting trail. There is literally no off-season for a P4 head coach. Not an easy position.
Hit the nail right on the head. It’s like someone told him to morph into Fitz. At the beginning of his career he was less politician like. Needs to watch a Chris Collins press conference.Couldn't agree more. Just stating how he appeared. Relative to what he said, I was trying to say that he is continuing to take the same approach to the media he has taken since his hire. He approaches his public appearances much like Fitz did. For me, that is boring. Couple that with having what appears to be one of the least informative approaches to the media in the Big Ten. With Fitz I gave up. With Braun it would be nice if he loosened up a little but I am not holding my breath. It is what it is.
What was the talking point? My brother has had extensive media training and done a lot of media himself. He tells me no matter the question, deliver your talking point. When they ask a second question, deliver it again. Your point is the only thing you want quoted. Boring but effective for the wider public that only picks up on snatches of things.
